The Wesleyan Theological Society (WTS) is a growing group of scholars (Methodists, Nazarenes, Free Methodists, and Wesleyans) who have joined together to exchange ideas and stimulate scholarship among younger theologians, pastors, adjudicatory leaders, and inquiring laity. The WTS meets annually for an academic conference, typically the first full weekend in March. This year’s meeting (2013) was on the campus of Seattle Pacific University. Among those making presentations were Walter Brueggemann, Michael Lodahl, and Bruce Marshall. Other sessions were devoted to topics such as biblical studies, missions, philosophy, pastoral theology, psychology, cultural studies, and systematic theology, among other topics.
